The Ithna-asheri Muslim Association of the Northwest (IMAN) The purpose of the Ithna-asheri Muslim Association of the Northwest (IMAN) is to provide an environment that will allow individuals to grow and contribute to human progress with a view to seek closeness to Allah SWT. IMAN is a Shia Ithna-asheri organization following the teachings of Ahlul Bayt. IMAN is a community based organization that believes societal improvement starts within the community and expands outward. The IMAN community serves a broad and diverse cross-section of people in the Greater Seattle Area.
The Initiative for Global Christian Studies in the Comparative Religion Program of the Jackson School for International Studies, University of Washington, is in the preliminary stages of funding the creation of a new Center for Global Christian Studies to explore the history, culture, and spirituality of Christianity in Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America, and the Orthodox world. With a focus on modern and contemporary forms of Christianity, the Center would vastly enhance the University of Washington’s capacity to foster teaching and research from a secular perspective on the full spectrum of global Christian communities.

University Presbyterian Church has been engaged in ministry on the edge of the University of Washington since 1906. It’s congregation of over 2,500 members and friends includes many faculty, graduate and undergraduate students of the University.
