SUMMARY:AI x Summit | University of Wisconsin\, Madison
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day of conversation at the intersection of artificial intelligence\, responsibility\, and faith. Todd Korpi\, author of AI Goes to Church\, leads a practical exploration of how AI can serve ministry while helping leaders navigate technology responsibly and faithfully. Next\, a public panel organized by the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Center for Humanistic Inquiry into AI and Uncertainty features UW faculty examining not just what AI can do\, but what it should do\, and how communities can shape its influence with insight\, care\, and awareness. The day concludes with an evening of exploration into the profound questions at the heart of today’s AI revolution with theologian and computer scientist Noreen Herzfeld\, drawing from her acclaimed book The Artifice of Intelligence — examining how artificial intelligence challenges our understanding of human uniqueness\, the image of God\, and what it means to love our neighbors in an increasingly digital world. Greg Cootsona\, Executive Director of AI and Faith\, will join Herzfeld in conversation following her presentation. \nMore information here: https://isthmus.com/events/ai-x-summit/

SUMMARY:Ethics and Tech Conference: with Partner Seattle University and Expert Nathan Colaner
DESCRIPTION:Join thought leaders from Seattle University\, Flatiron Health\, University of Washington\, Amazon\, Microsoft Health & Life Sciences\, Allen Institute\, Carnegie Mellon\, Seattle Children’s Hospital\, and Truveta as we explore where AI meets humanity in healthcare. \nThe tools of artificial intelligence offer the potential for healthcare to become more effective and equitable. But as we race to embrace these advances\, are we truly ensuring that we do no harm? Thought leaders from across disciplines will discuss the complex issues that emerge as we harness AI for health. Join us in an important conversation grounded in Seattle University’s Jesuit tradition of facing challenges with reflection and contemplation. \nIn our rush to implement technologies that hold the potential to improve the quality of healthcare in obvious ways\, we must have careful conversations about whether these new tools also enable us to respect values fundamental to human dignity\, such as autonomy\, privacy\, and the right to self-determination. \nRegister at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/where-ai-meets-humanity-in-healthcare-whats-next-tickets-577608952927?aff=oddtdtcreator
