Daniel Heck is an AI ethicist at The Understanding Group, with a rich background in non-profit leadership, including roles in the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). His work focuses on integrating secular social theories and theological insights into an ethical AI framework applicable in diverse contexts. Heck holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Natural Resources Management and Policy from The Ohio State University. He is pursuing a Masters of Divinity with the Methodist Theological School in Ohio with he intent to pursue PhD afterward.
