Dr. Elizabeta Kitanovic-Broes (Advisor) is Professor of Human Rights Law at the Faculty of Protestant Theology and Religious Studies in Brussels and a board member of the European Centre for Religious Studies. From 2007 to April 2025, she served at the Conference of European Churches (CEC) as Programme Staff for Advocacy and Dialogue, focusing on human rights and freedom of religion and belief. She led the development of CEC’s human rights education, editing six key resources. Dr. Kitanovic holds degrees in Theology and Political Science from the University of Belgrade and regularly lectures and researches on human rights and AI, religious freedom and belief, religious radicalization and security, environmental rights and sustainability, and interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
