Wen Dombrowski (Advisor), MD, MBA is a geriatrics physician executive with a unique perspective bridging Clinical, Technical, Business, Design, Ethics, Policy, Movement and Arts expertise. She is passionate about building ecosystems, connecting needs to resources, addressing root causes of complex systems problems, and impacting culture change. Dr. Dombrowski uses experience design, group facilitation, human-centered design thinking, critical analysis and synthesis, data analytics, technical expertise, and interdisciplinary collaboration to innovate experiences, product-service development, and workflow efficiency. She also creates technology-enabled services, business models and care models to improve the lives of populations with complex needs. As a founding principal of CATALAIZE, she advises on innovation and new technologies. Clients include investors, tech companies, medical device, pharma, payers, providers, retail, manufacturing, and other industries. Dr. Dombrowsk holds a Bachelors of Science in Cellular-Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan, an MD from the University of Rochester, and an MBA from IE Business School.
Daniel Heck (Contributing Fellow- Networking), is an AI ethicist with The Understanding Group. He has twenty years of non-profit experience, providing leadership in the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the Vineyard Movement and the Communion of Friends. His interest in AI Ethics arose while conducting long range planning with the AFL-CIO in the early 2010’s.
His work with The Understanding Group involves the practical integration of work by Hannah Arendt, Jürgen Habermas and other leading secular social theorists, alongside theological insights into agency that are inspired by the work of David Bentley Hart and Howard Thurman. This is being synthesized into an ethical AI team alignment framework that can be applied in a wide range of secular and religious contexts. The objective is to articulate a reasonably comprehensive framework to assist organizations that are working to ethically scale their ability to do good in the world with the help of AI.
Daniel Heck holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Natural Resources Management and Policy from The Ohio State University. He is pursuing a Masters of Divinity with the Methodist Theological School in Ohio with he intent to pursue PhD afterward.
Manuel David Morales (Advisor), is an astrophysicist postdoctoral researcher at the Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico. Funded by the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT), his research focuses on AI techniques in the field of gravitational-wave astronomy and involves an interdisciplinary approach, combining astrophysics with advanced computational methods. Previously, he was a data scientist for the Jalisco State Government advising criminology AI projects, collaborated with the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, and developed social impact AI prototypes within the Saturdays.AI global community. Manuel’s faith aligns with Latin American Evangelicals. He is member of the Centre for Science & Faith, Spain, voice of the Center for Open & Relational Theology USA, networking scholar of the Global Faculty Initiative, founder-member of the Realidad y Proceso trans-disciplinary research group and founding co-director of the Razon y Pensamiento Cristiano journal. Manuel holds a Bachelors of Science in Applied Physics from Universidad de Santiago de Chile, a Masters of Science in Relativistic Astrophysics and PhD in Numerical Relativity from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, Mexico.
Micah Redding (Advisor), is a software developer who organizes conversations on transhumanism and faith. He founded the Christian Transhumanist Association, created a series of conferences on transhumanism, and hosts public dialogue with leading thinkers in science, technology, and religion. Redding has contributed to “The Transhumanism Handbook” (Springer 2019), “Religious Transhumanism and Its Critics” (Lexington Books 2021), and “Technologies of the Future Self: An Ethics for Transhuman Flourishing” (Palgrave Studies in the Future of Humanity and its Successors; upcoming). He is an advisor to the Transhumanist Party, and contributes to a number of other futurist organizations. Micah Redding holds a BS in Computer Science, and an MSc in Philosophy, Science and Religion from the University of Edinburgh
