Dr. David Bourgeois (Advisor) is a professor for the Crowell School of Business at Biola University, where he has served for the past twenty-one years with a focus on the fields of information systems, data analytics, and now artificial intelligence. Since receiving his Ph.D. in Information Systems from Claremont Graduate University in 2006, he has focused his research on the use of digital technologies in organizations, with a focus on ministries and churches. From 2012 to 2015, he hosted the Digital Ministry Conference at Biola University and in 2013 he published his book Ministry in the Digital Age. More recently, he has turned his attention to the study of machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies and their use and impact in business organizations. He was appointed Director of the AI Lab at Biola in the spring of 2024. Bourgeois holds a BS, Mathematics from Biola University, a M.S. in Management Studies from California State University, Fullerton and a Ph.D., Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University.
