Please join us for our May Salon on “AI & Work: Cultivating Visions of Hope” with David Kim! David will be speaking from wide experience in the connection between work and faith, he is the CEO and co-founder of Goldenwood and has spent the past several decades training, consulting, and counseling hundreds of leaders and organizations in developing a meaningful integration of faith and work, and is the editor of the NIV Faith and Work Bible. He previously served as VP of Faith and Work with Redeemer City to City, Executive Director of the Center for Faith & Work and Director of the Gotham Fellowship, all at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in NYC.
David’s talk will trace the fundamental social imaginations that shape AI and Christianity, understanding the perils that face us in order to create a new vision of hope for work in the era of AI. He will explore the connection between AI, the enchanted frame, and the deceptiveness of our own hearts, contrasting it with the redemption narrative that shapes the Christian imagination. As we question whether AI will mean greater alienation from work, or perhaps offer a renewed connection, faith will be a crucial factor for realizing a hopeful future.
