Introducing the Religious Voices and Responsible AI Curriculum: How to Use the Christian Curriculum in Your Community

How can Christian perspectives contribute to our understanding of artificial intelligence’s impact on how humans interact with technology, society, and one another? Over the course of the last 12 months, non-profits AI and Faith and the Institute for Security and Technology have worked with religious scholars, educators, and organizations to develop faith-based curriculum and resources.

By providing religious leaders and members of local religious communities with resources on what AI is, and what guidance their faith offers on AI, the Religious Voices and Responsible AI effort aims to help Christians to more effectively participate in policy discussions on the risks and opportunities posed by developing AI.

On Thursday, November 19 at 9 am ET / 12 pm ET, this webinar includes members of the curriculum drafting team as well as individuals who were involved in implementing pilots of the curriculum materials. The webinar will take a look at why AIF and IST created this course, how we think it can be effective as a point of discussion for  local communities, and then offering practical guidance on how to tackle preparing for and implementing the course.

Meet the Panelists:

  • Elizabeth Vish, Senior Director for International Cyber Engagement;
  • Kutter Callaway,  William K. Brehm Chair of Worship, Theology, and the Arts, Fuller Theological Seminar;
  • Marie-Ange Eyoum Tagne, Gateway Church, San Jose;
  • Benjamin Jones, Reflection Church, Pasadena;
  • Melanie Dzugan, Senior Editor, AI and Faith.

After the webinar, attendees will  be empowered to use the curriculum in their local communities.
