Is President of The Understanding Group, a consultancy that brings clarity to the architecture and design of complex digital systems. For over 35 years, Bob has worked as an educator, executive, and consultant, exploring how technology can amplify human capabilities without replacing them. His experience with artificial intelligence spans more than three decades, including executive leadership at an expert systems and custom software consulting firm. Today, his ministry focuses on using business as a transformational force for the gospel, harnessing AI to empower nonprofits and social enterprises through “tiny reasoning engines” designed to enhance productivity and uplift vulnerable communities. Bob holds a BS in Science Education from Eastern Michigan University and is a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute. He resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his wife, Adrienne.
