Michael J. Quinn

Recently retired as Dean of the College of Science and Engineering at Seattle University and as Director of Seattle University’s  Initiative in Ethics and Transformative Technologies. Michael did pioneering research in the area of parallel computing and in the early 2000’s began to focus on ethical issues related to computing. His seminal textbook, Ethics for the Information Age (Pearson) is in its 8th edition, and used by more than 125 colleges and universities. Michael holds masters and doctoral degrees in computer science from the University of Wisconsin and Washington State University.
