Meet the Speakers:
Host: Pablo A. Ruz Salmones is a Mexican polymath. He is the founder and CEO of X eleva Group, a leading Artificial Intelligence development firm in Mexico. He is also a pianist and composer, having performed on stages in Mexico, New Zealand, and the United States. Pablo contributes regularly to various media outlets in Mexico and around the world, and has delivered lectures on AI, Ethics, Art, and other topics for renowned companies, universities, and research institutes in several countries He has published articles in international academic journals on Education for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with researchers from Humboldt University in Berlin. In his free time, he practices Kung Fu at the Shaolin Temple of Mexico.
Dr. Shannon E. French is the Inamori Professor in Ethics and the Director of the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence at Case Western Reserve University and an advisor to the members of the US and Allied militaries and various US defense and DoD-funded research agencies. Her primary scholarship focuses on conduct of war issues, ethical leadership, command climate, warrior transitions, moral injury, and the future of warfare, as well as ethical issues in emerging technology. Previously, Shannon was a tenured faculty member teaching ethics at the US Naval Academy. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from Brown University.
