Community Q&A with Our New Executive Director #54

We were thrilled to have our new Executive Director, Greg Cootsona, back on the podcast to look back at his first hundred days, to answer a few questions from all of you, and to discuss some of the key learnings from our faith traditions that we need to apply during this era of the great commoditization of AI.

Meet our speakers:

Host: Gilad Berenstein is currently working in venture capital in Seattle after founding and leading a successful travel personalization startup and serving as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2). Gilad holds masters and undergraduate degrees from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

Guest: Greg Cootsona is the Executive Director for AI and Faith. He recently retired from California State University (Chico), after teaching there for over a decade. Previously, he also co-founded Science for the Church. An ordained Presbyterian minister, he serves as Pastor of Discipleship and Care at Bidwell Presbyterian Church. Greg has authored multiple books. He has directed $4.6 million in grants from six different organizations. With a Ph.D. in systematic and philosophical theology emphasizing theology and science, Greg has appeared on major media outlets.
