is a Religion Professor and Director of Multidisciplinary Studies Program at East Carolina University and holds fellowship status in the International Society for Science and Religion. Mercer holds a PhD in Computer Science from Harvard, S.M. of Media Arts and Sciences from MIT, a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell.
