Host: Pablo Ruz Salmones is a Mexican polymath. He is the founder and CEO of X eleva Group, a leading Artificial Intelligence development firm in Mexico. He is also a pianist and composer, having performed on stages in Mexico, New Zealand, and the United States. Pablo contributes regularly to various media outlets in Mexico and around the world, and has delivered lectures on AI, Ethics, Art, and other topics for renowned companies, universities, and research institutes in several countries He has published articles in international academic journals on Education for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with researchers from Humboldt University in Berlin. In his free time, he practices Kung Fu at the Shaolin Temple of Mexico.
Salah Dandan is a lawyer and business executive in the technology, media and telecommunication sectors. Salah has an extensive background in intellectual property, technology and content licensing, asset management, international business transactions, M&A, and technology policy. Salah is admitted to the State Bar of California and to the Washington State Bar Association. Salah is also an AAOIFI CSAA (Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor) fellow. Through his US-based law practice, Salah advises on technology transactions and investments. Salah is also Senior Advisor (and until recently, Managing Director) at GQG Partners, a boutique investment firm with over $160B AUM, focused on global and emerging markets equities. Salah is also an Associate Professor of Law at Kuwait International Law School.
Previously, Salah was Director of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Microsoft Corporation at its US headquarters. Salah also has served as General Counsel at various technology companies. Salah has also served on various non-profit boards. Currently, he is a Board Member at HADI, the California based nonprofit which runs IslamiCity and ChatILM. Salah previously served as a Founding Board Member at AI and Faith. Salah also served as a member of the Board of Regents at Seattle University. Salah was also a Board Member of the Muslim Association of Puget Sound. Salah has a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. Salah also has a graduate level Diploma in Shariah Law and Practice from the International Islamic University, Malaysia.
